The February educational event featured M.A.A.C. Property Services reviewing the Snow & Ice Removal-Management industry with highlights to help educate our facility professionals.  In 2016 $14.3 billion dollars was spent on Snow & Removal-Management for commerical properties. The steady rise in slip and fall claims requires facility professionals to be educated and informed about best practices in the industry. Technology, like AccuWeather allows facility professionals the ability to look at future forecasts typically in June of the current year to begin creating a Snow/Ice removal budget.  GeoGrid technology supports the facility professionals and vendors servicing the site with live service recording and historical data tracking for services performed. Sustainable Salt Initiative underway to research salt applications based on facility location/climate.  Review changes effective July 1, 2017 to Indiana Senate Bill No. 131 specifically related to Snow/Ice removal services directly affecting facility professionals within the commerical property industry.
